Disaster Alert: December 21, 2020

Tropical Depression Vicky brought heavy rains to Mindanao initially, and then brought heavier rains and flooding to the Caraga Region, particularly in Agusan del Sur. The people in this area are dependent on fishing, farming and daily wage labor and therefore their livelihoods are impacted by the flooding. The Child Development Centers (CDCs) in the affected areas are assessing impact; however, specific beneficiary information is not yet available. Current estimates indicate that over 600 families and several CDCs and church partner staff are affected.

Please pray for the beneficiaries and families and church partners as they recover losses and damages.
