December 19, 2023

On December 19, 2023, strong wind gusts caused several signs to fall damaging some homes in Nicaragua. To date, 5 participants and one Child Development Center (CDC) have been impacted. Along with the strong winds, low temperatures and some precipitation are expected to arrive in the Northern Caribbean regions, Southern Caribbean regions and the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. The National Office of Nicaragua is monitoring the situation and is providing support and follow up to the impacted participants and CDC. They were able to provide a food kit and a relief shelter kit to those impacted. The CDC continues to follow up with the participants and their families.

Please pray for protection of any further damage to the regions impacted by the strong winds, cold weather and precipitation. Please pray for the impacted participants and their families as they recover and repair their homes.
