Final Update: February 17, 2021

Thankfully, there is no more flooding in Manado, North Sulawesi, and Ngabang District Landak City, West Kalimantan. In total, 102 beneficiaries were affected. The affected families were supported with food, clothes, tarpaulin, mats, etc. from the Child Development Centers and local government. Most families have returned to their homes and daily activities. Twelve families are still in temporary shelters.

Update #1: February 16, 2021

More flooding and landslides occurred on January 22. Some of the affected beneficiaries have moved back to their homes. Many additional beneficiaries and Child Development Center (CDCs) staff were affected by the second occurrence of flooding and landslides. So far, 101 beneficiaries and their families have been impacted. The CDCs are providing food for the affected families.

Please continue to pray for protection and provision for the beneficiaries, families, and church partners in the Manado area.

Disaster Alert: January 19, 2021

Heavy rain and flooding caused landslides in several areas of East Indonesia, including Manado, North Sulawesi and Ngabang District, Landak City, West Kalimantan. The Child Development Centers are assessing impact and providing food to affected families. A list of specific beneficiaries is not yet available.
