Compassion has been forced to close our program in India after nearly 50 years. Join us in praying for the children, families and churches who have lost our support.

Every day, 160 Indian women die because of preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. A lack of skilled birth attendants accounts for thousands of preventable deaths of mothers and babies in India each year. Adolescent and illiterate mothers are most vulnerable.

Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.

Pray that our former church partners will be able to continue to encourage youth in their communities and help them find job resources and support.

Ask God to provide medical care and support to expectant moms in India.

Pray that God will connect more pregnant women with trained birth attendants.

Pray that Indian mothers will continue to apply the parenting skills they learned in the Survival Program.
