Compassion has been forced to close our program in India after nearly 50 years. Join us in praying for the children, families and churches who have lost our support.
Because Compassion treats children’s spiritual health with as much passion and care as their physical and economic health, we work only through local church partners. While we made needed adjustments to our programs to ensure we always complied with local laws in India, we were ultimately forced to end our work there. But as Compassion leaves, God is still actively working through the churches we have partnered with there.
Continue to pray for churches in India as they respond to God’s call to care for the least of these in their communities.
Pray that meaningful ministry and support will continue in some manner for the children Compassion was serving in India, even if it is not to the degree it exists today through the ministry of generous partners.
Ask God to multiply resources for churches in India as they begin the difficult task of revamping their programs to serve the most poor.
Pray for guidance among local church workers in India who are dedicated to knowing, loving and protecting every child.
