Compassion has been forced to close our program in India after nearly 50 years. Join us in praying for the children, families and churches who have lost our support.
According to UNICEF, only a quarter of the total population of India has drinking water at their homes, and nearly 75 percent of all diseases in the country are caused by contaminants in the water supply. Contaminated drinking water causes more than 98,000 diarrheal deaths in India each year.
Pray that highly vulnerable Indians will have access to medical care and medicine quickly if they contract illnesses from their inadequate water supplies.
Pray for healing among children sickened by contaminated water.
Ask God to increase children’s access to safe drinking water and water-treatment facilities.
