Samuel grew up in a crumbling home in an impoverished community of Uganda. After joining Compassion’s program as a child, Samuel began receiving support and encouragement to dream and work hard for his future. Compassion paid for a safe home for the family.
Seeing Samuel’s potential, a couple in Colorado named Mark and Betsy partnered with Compassion to sponsor his college education. Samuel graduated and has gone on to pursue further education, even paying for his siblings to go to college.
Betsy and Mark were delighted to learn recently that Samuel, now a Ph.D. student, would be traveling to the U.S., where they were able to meet in person for the first time!
