Infrastructure Development

Provide a Safe Infrastructure

In many rural regions around the world, limited infrastructure prevents children from overcoming poverty. Donate today to help improve a local community.

Something as simple as water can change everything for those in poverty.

Children living in poverty often lack access to basic needs such as safe drinking water. Without clean water, children may suffer from various health conditions that impact their development. Together, we can build the infrastructure required to provide the water and other essentials children need to thrive.

Your support helps children like Munge.

Munge is a nine-year-old girl who lives in Itilima, Tanzania, a community that often experiences long dry seasons. With only one safe water source, Munge and her family were forced to use unsafe water from a nearby pond, causing them to become sick.

Munge wasn’t the only one. Other children that were registered with her at the local Compassion center were also forced to use unsafe water. And unfortunately, many fell ill each month. To help Munge and the other children, funds were given to the local church to dig a borehole well and install storage tanks.

Now, whenever Munge and her family need clean and safe water, they have easy access at the Compassion center. Munge is no longer getting sick and is continuously thankful, even when the dry season hits.

“Before we had water at the church, I sometimes had to go to school in an unwashed uniform. But now when I get home from school, I get water easier to drink or clean my uniform.” — Munge
