Socially Distant, Emotionally Close

Meet Didier, a soccer coach in Mexico who refused to let the pandemic allow his Compassion-assisted athletes to feel alone.

For children to develop holistically, especially amid a crisis like the pandemic, they require physical, mental, emotional and spiritual care — and that’s exactly what Coach Didier is providing for each of the athletes he works with. Here at Compassion, we aim to empower all staff members and volunteers to find creative ways to provide diverse development opportunities. In Didier’s case, he used physical activity to help provide mental, emotional and spiritual support to teenagers when they needed it most. And this work couldn’t happen without the generous support of sponsors like you — thank you!
