The Bible says Jesus loves His children. And this is easily reflected in the way He spent His time while on earth. Jesus spent time teaching young ones during his three-year ministry and made countless mentions about the beautiful faith of a child. God so loved His children that He came to earth to teach them about Him.

At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

— Matthew 18:1-5

The ministry of Compassion is dedicated to releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name. And we ensure the gospel is infused in every aspect of our ministry to children in need. Through the support of generous donors like you, children around the world, in every culture, are learning about Jesus’ love for them.

When you sponsor a child, he or she is given the opportunity to be uniquely mentored by a God-honoring Christ follower who cares for them. Your generous donation of only $43/month will provide a child in poverty with:

  • Christ-centered guidance through a local church to overcome hopelessness and fear
  • Money for school fees, uniforms, books and supplies
  • Basic family necessities
  • Healthcare to fight back against illness and disease

Through Compassion International’s child sponsorship program, children in poverty are raised up with the gospel message. They are shown the love their Savior has for them. And they are brought out of the hopelessness of poverty because they know the Lord has a plan for them.

If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

— 1 John 3:17

Sponsor a Child and Change Their Future

One of the biggest contributors to global poverty is lack of access to education because poverty and education are intertwined. When children do not receive basic education, they are less likely to become adults who are able to support their family and community. In order to effectively fight poverty around the world, we must address the lack of education for children in developing countries.

When asked which component of the Compassion program was most beneficial, more than one-third of formerly sponsored children said, “educational support.” Your generous donation of only $43/month will provide children in poverty with:

  • Money for school fees, uniforms, books and supplies
  • Basic family necessities
  • Christ-centered guidance through a local church to overcome hopelessness and fear
  • Healthcare to fight back against illness and disease

Through Compassion International’s child sponsorship program, children in poverty are offered the opportunity to fight illiteracy and go to school or stay in school. They are able to change the statistics about education in developing countries and change their future. Sponsor a child's education and give help the child reach his or her fullest potential.
