Take Your Church on a Virtual Missions Trip

It’s hard to imagine what it’s like to be a child living in severe poverty. This 5-minute virtual journey to Brazil will transport your congregation to a world where they can experience their hardship and offer great hope. Host Compassion’s Virtual Reality Experience at your church!

Your congregation will be completely immersed in this 5-minute virtual reality video.

They will get up close and personal with the realities of global poverty and hear the true story of a family living in Brazil. They’ll walk with Antonia, a mother of two daughters, who prays for relief from her family’s poverty. They’ll see how the Compassion program blesses the life of Antonia’s 7-year-old, while witnessing the challenges experienced by her 4-year-old who has not yet been sponsored.

Their eyes and hearts will be opened, as they see the world through God’s eyes. Plus, kids will have the opportunity to learn what life is really like for millions of children around the world.

How will I receive our event materials and what will be included?

We’ll ship your Virtual Reality Supplies, which will include:

10 Oculus virtual reality headsets with controllers
10 headphones
Charging & cleaning supplies
Pullup banners
Tabletop displays
Tablecloths
Interactive activity supplies /li>
Packets featuring children who need sponsors — and much more!

Your supplies will arrive at least three days before your event. Supplies may vary and should be discussed with your Church Team Relationship Manager.

How many hours a day will the exhibit be open?

As the host, what do you need me to do that weekend?

Please make sure volunteers have everything they need, including a printed copy of the Volunteer Packet. Familiarize yourself with the Planning Guide and consider watching Antonia’s story a couple times through on your own. We ask that you oversee the event, help answer questions, and check in with volunteers periodically to make sure everything is running smoothly. After the event, you’ll pack up supplies and get them ready to return to Compassion.

Is there any cost to my church?

How will guests sponsor a child?

Your Virtual Reality supplies will be accompanied by child packets featuring children who need caring sponsors. After the film, guests will visit the Child Sponsorship Table, where they will have the opportunity to pray for children in need and change a child’s life, in Jesus’ name! This area is easy to arrange – you’ll simply set up a long table, use the displays and tablecloths provided to mark the station, and spread child packets out for all to see! Your Planning Guide will walk you through everything, step by step!
