Update: The triplets and mom Yasmina are regulars at the Compassion Nurturers center!

It’s been a few months since we’ve checked in with Yasmina and the triplets. The family visits the Compassion Nurturers center frequently, and both mom and babies benefit from the Compassion community.

The Compassion center offers many kinds of support for moms and babies, but one of the most important is monitoring the little ones’ growth. Assita, a Compassion Nurturers center staff member, measures Djamal, Madjid and Manane at each visit.

“The triplets are growing fast. They are adding weight and height every time they are measured,” she says. “Each month they receive milk and porridge flour to supplement their diet.”

Yasmina can attest to the growth — though she lives a short walk from the center, she can’t carry the triplets on her own. Her husband joins her on the walk to the center — it’s all hands on deck in their family!

The babies enjoy playing with other children and are now sitting and crawling. They enjoy safe and stimulating playrooms to explore at the center. And center activities offer Yasmina opportunities to interact with others, sing and pray. Moms at the center also share stories and ideas with others in the community, offering each other support and inspiration.

"Assita challenged me today to start a business activity that could support my family,” Yasmina says. “I want to start making cakes in addition to the manicure and pedicure activities if the babies give me time."

We are excited to see how this family continues to grow in the coming months!
