Sponsor a Family
If you want to “sponsor” a family, consider the impact of sponsoring a child on both the family and community. When Compassion children experience success in their lives — no matter how big or small — they are excited to share with their loved ones. Sponsorship of one child touches the lives of many relatives, so while you can't sponsor a family, you can provide help to the family through the child.
When poverty is prevalent, bringing in funds for the household becomes a family affair. In impoverished countries, many children cannot go to school because they must work. Even though Compassion offers one-to-one child sponsorship, an educated child with greater earning potential can significantly affect household income. In a sense, then, when you sponsor a child, by extension you sponsor a family!
Help a child, help a community
Compassion’s unique approach to child development is to raise healthy, balanced children. Children who are balanced spiritually, emotionally, socially and physically can help their families and communities in extraordinary ways. Rather than sponsor a family, sponsor a child through an environment that is:
- Christ centered, so every child has the opportunity to hear the gospel.
- Child focused, so activities bring out the best in each child.
- Church driven, as we partner with churches, parents and communities to teach, train and mentor children.
Sponsoring a child through Compassion is easy. You can develop a loving relationship with your child through letters and photographs. You can even visit your child. You will experience the gratification of knowing you’re not only touching the life of one child, but actually having an effect on a family and perhaps an entire community that desperately needs the skills and contributions of your Compassion child. Don’t wait — sponsor your child today!
