Santiago smiles at the camera

“Two kitchens, four bathrooms, five bedrooms, three backyards and a garden with flowers.” That’s how 7-year-old Santiago describes the home he aspires to build for his family when he becomes a civil engineer. It’s a big dream for a 7-year-old who currently lives with his family in a small, cramped house in Colombia. But at Santiago’s Compassion center, the staff encourage him to dream big and excel in his education to achieve his goals. Edgar, the center’s director, says, “With God’s help, children can be transformed and have a great future. I already see Santiago as an engineer!”
