“I was terrified because the mountain was falling on us,” says 6-year-old James about the day a huge mudslide swept away his family’s house and all their belongings. The family barely escaped with their lives. Immediately, the Compassion center James attends came to their rescue, providing them with emergency assistance and the means to rebuild their shattered lives. Now James knows that even when it seems like a mountain is falling on him, he can count on God’s love and provision to help him rise above tragedy.
