Week 17 - Like a Family

Pawaret loves his family’s elephant, Onawari. Not only a beloved pet, she is also part of a local elephant preserve, a tourist attraction and source of income. But when the pandemic hit Thailand, tourism and the family’s earnings plummeted. Thankfully, the Compassion center Pawaret attends is helping meet their needs for food and other basics. "We are so thankful," says Pawaret’s father. "It’s like there’s always a family that cares for us in a hard time."
