Ana holds her son, Josuel

April 11, 2020, was the day Josuel was born into a family in rural Brazil. “My son was born healthy and brought joy to our family,” says Ana, Josuel’s mother. She also admits that having a baby during the pandemic was scary. Because Ana’s husband lost much of his employment in Brazil’s economic downturn, the past year has been difficult. But thankfully, as a beneficiary of the local church’s Survival Program, Ana receives the resources and assistance she needs to ensure a healthy start in life for her baby.
