Week 26 - A Golden Opportunity

Hope lives, running amongst the dead — 18-year-old Emilda Soriano and her father, Reynaldo, go for a training run near their home among the tombs in Iloilo City, Philippines. Emilda’s family lived in extreme poverty, and when she contracted a high fever at the age of 3 that left her with brain damage, they thought all hope for her was lost. Then she found running. Her church, and Compassion staff and donors, helped her compete in Greece in one of the biggest events in the world.
