When Emmanuel was 2, his father died, leaving him this goat. Emmanuel loves it more than all the other animals he cares for on his uncle’s farm, where he lives in Burkina Faso. At only 6, he also helps hoe the garden. But then his uncle walks him to his Compassion center — a place where kids who work hard for survival get to relax and just be kids.
