Mitchele, an eighth-grader in Kenya, sits in her classroom

Mitchele, in the eighth grade, wants to be a teacher when she grows up. But like young students the world over, Mitchele’s education in Kenya has been interrupted by the pandemic. Still, supported by her Compassion center staff, she remains optimistic. “The staff has been very helpful in encouraging us that everything will work for our good,” she says, adding, “I try to study every day, and I am confident that God is in control.”
