Week 9 - Advocating for Girls

This bright-eyed child is growing up in Tanzania, where nearly 2 out of 5 girls are married before age 18. In some rural areas, girls are married as young as 11. But this little girl, like all girls in the Compassion Tanzania program, finds safety at her church-driven child development center, where staff advocate for her and provide the support she needs to avoid early marriage, stay in school and achieve her full potential.
