Educational Needs

Donate to a Child's Education

A quality education is crucial in breaking the cycle of poverty. Your donation helps children attend and stay in school by providing support, tutoring, supplies, and textbooks.

Attending and staying in school is hard for children living in poverty.

Many families can’t afford to enroll their children in school due to the high cost of tuition, books and supplies. And some children must work to help provide for their families, instead of attending school.

But with your help, we can provide life-changing education to children in need. Through education, they can break the cycle of poverty and dream of a brighter future for themselves, their families and their communities.

How We Help to Educate

Compassion’s Educational Needs Fund helps children stay in school and learn valuable skills that enable them to be contributing adults in their communities one day. They may receive textbooks, uniforms and fees for labs. They may also receive tutoring with their homework, and spiritual and emotional support when things get tough.

Your donation helps to provide the essential resources for children to go beyond their primary education. Contribute today to keep children in school so they can grow academically and prepare for a successful future.

Funding the education of those in Chota, Peru

As a child, Maisha attended primary and secondary school while enrolled in the Compassion program. In high school, he began to dream of a career as a mason.

With masonry skills, he could build a safe home for his family, something he didn’t have growing up. The staff at his center helped him enroll in and pay for technical school, so he could gain the masonry skills he needed.

After completing technical school, Maisha became a strong, confident and successful mason who’s actively working on building homes for his family and others in the community. He’s generating income for himself and his family while improving the well-being of those around him.

“Looking ahead, I want to help my community build more houses. I will help my community as much as I can. They can pay an affordable price, and I can build them a house.” — Maisha
