At two new child development centers being launched by churches in the Misamis Occidental province of the Philippines, children will benefit from opportunities that would otherwise be out of their reach. Program activities encourage healthy growth — spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally and economically — and children are invited to participate early in their lives when the program can benefit them most. At the two churches that are part of this opportunity, children will start with home-based programming that enables tutors to provide them with individual attention. In addition, their caregivers learn how to raise healthy children. Monthly group activities at the child development center further enhance their growth.
