Marigat is a metropolitan area where health and other social amenities are not easily accessible for the urban poor, particularly in multiple slum scenarios. Children here face malnutrition and lack access to clean water. School enrollment is very low, leading to illiteracy and child labor.
As the Full Gospel Church of Kenya Marigat begins partnership with Compassion, the child development center will enhance the opportunities they have to minister to children. The church leadership is passionate for their children to experience spiritual and social transformation through education, spiritual nourishment and economic empowerment.
Helping the new child development center get started well with practical equipment like classroom tables and chairs, kitchen utensils and health screening kits will enable the church to focus fully on their kids! These everyday items remove barriers, allowing children accessibility to quality education and health care, continuously receive love and protection, and most importantly, experience the love of Jesus in action!
