Jay R Fleck

Jay R. Fleck went home to be with Jesus in glory on January 3, 2024 at the age of 56 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Jay was born to Eugene and Kathryn (Lehman) Fleck on March 5, 1967, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

He grew up in Deodate, PA along with his siblings Mervin and Debbie where he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and was an active member of the Lower Dauphin FFA chapter.

Jay was faithfully married to his wife and best friend, Emily (Eberly), for 36 years. They had two children, Joshua and Katie Fleck. Together they enjoyed spending time at their family cabin, camping, spoiling the grand-dogs and visiting national parks.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband and father, Jay also loved hunting and spending time in God’s creation.

Throughout Jay’s entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God and showed his love for others through hard work and a willingness to serve in any way he could.

He was a dedicated member of the Colebrook United Christian Church where he served on the Board in a variety of roles. In recent years, he attended LCBC and created close bonds with the members of his Life Group. He supported many Christian organizations over his lifetime, but was a sponsor of Compassion International since he was 18 years old.

Jay, along with his son, was a founding partner of Whitetail Woodcrafters LLC where he found fulfillment in creating meaningful engraved gifts and heirlooms for their customers. He took great joy working in the family business alongside his son and daughter every day.

He was a devoted husband and father, instilling strong values of hard work, service to others, and living life to the fullest.

Jay joins his parents, Eugene and Kathryn Fleck in Heaven. Jay is survived by his wife, Emily, and children Joshua Fleck, husband of Stephanie, and Katie Fleck, and siblings Mervin Fleck and Debbie Frank.
