Disaster Final Report: Strong Winds in East Manado, East Indonesia - March 20, 2023

As of March 20th, the strong winds have subsided. Families have been able to return to their homes and begin renovations. In total, 17 participants were affected by the strong winds. Thankfully, all participants are safe and have been able to return home. The Child Development Centers (CDCs) are continuing to assist participants and their families as they recover from the extreme weather.

February 23, 2023

On February 14th, there were strong winds in the eastern part of the city of Manado, Indonesia. The winds caused damage to houses and structures. To date, 15 participants have been affected by the strong winds. Thankfully, all participants are currently healthy and safe. Child Development Center (CDC) staff members have helped by providing food and clothes to the impacted participants and their families. Other relief aid organizations and the local government have also helped provide relief items to families in the area.
