Final Report: June 22, 2023

As of June 22, 2023, the flooding has subsided in Azua. In total, 19 participants and two Child Development Centers (CDCs) were impacted by the floods. The CDCs were able to provide families with relief items including mattresses, stoves, food and clothing. All participants are currently healthy.

June 8, 2023

On June 3, 2023, heavy rain and subsequent flooding impacted the area of Azua, Dominican Republic. To date, 18 participants and two Child Development Centers (CDCs) have been affected by the storm. Thankfully, all participants are healthy. The Compassion Dominican Republic National Office has been closely monitoring the situation and are actively determining how to best assist families who were impacted by the storm.

Please pray for all participants, their family members and CDC staff members as they recover from the heavy rain and floods.
