On April 3, 2023, heavy rain caused flooding in the town of Chato, Tanzania. Residents' homes were flooded and damaged due to the heavy rain. To date, 11 participants have been impacted. Thankfully, they are all healthy. The Child Development Center (CDC) has assisted families in finding temporary shelter and provided supplies such as food kits and bedding. The CDC is working with the Compassion Tanzania National Office to utilize Disaster Relief Funds to further assist the families who were impacted by the flooding.
