On August 20, 2023, a fire impacted families in the village of Kampung Muhur in East Indonesia. Sixty houses were damaged. The fire was more extensive due to the close proximity of houses and lack of a water source to efficiently put out the fire. To date, 20 participants and one Child Development Center (CDC) were impacted. Thankfully, everyone is healthy. The CDC has been collaborating with local authorities to provide the impacted families with relief items such as groceries, tents and other household necessities. The Compassion East Indonesia National Office is actively monitoring the situation and will be utilizing Disaster Relief Funds to help the impacted families recover from the fire.

Please pray that all impacted families are able to rebuild their homes soon.
