Disaster Final Report: May 17, 2021
The tornado and heavy rain in Nagarote impacted a total of 17 beneficiaries and one Child Development Center. The Child Development Centers (CDCs) provided food, school supplies, and spiritual support to the affected families. The local government provided roofing supplies to help families make needed repairs.

Disaster Alert: May 3, 2021
On the afternoon of Monday, April 19, 2021, a tornado touched down in the municipality of Nagarote. In addition to damage from strong wind, heavy rain accompanied the storm. The Child Development Centers (CDCs) are assessing impact to beneficiaries and their families. So far, 17 beneficiaries and one CDC are reported as affected. Local authorities released a preliminary report that more than 50 houses were damaged. Damage included housing infrastructure, loss of livelihood, school supplies and household items. The CDCs are providing food and other essential supplies to the affected families. The local government has provided roofing supplies to help families make repairs.
