February 6, 2023

As of February 2023, the heavy rains and winds have completely subsided. In total, one Child Development Center (CDC) and 55 participants were impacted by the rain and strong winds. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured by the extreme weather. Families have been able to return to their daily activities. More than 70 percent of families have already reconstructed their houses. The Compassion Togo National Office continues to assist the remaining affected participants and their families in rebuilding their homes.

Thank you for your prayers for the participants and families impacted by the extreme weather conditions.

Rain and violent wind affected the homes of 55 participants and their families in the village of Tierou. Many of the homes sustained roof damage and need to be repaired. The Compassion Togo National Office and the Child Development Centers (CDCs) have provided hygiene kits to the families and are providing materials to help repair the damage of their homes.

Please pray for these families as they recover from this disaster.
