The water in the Mearin River has receded. Participants and their families have returned to their homes. The Child Development Centers (CDCs) provided impacted families with spiritual support, basic relief items, food kits, and hygiene kits. In total, 95 participants and their families were affected.

Disaster Alert: April 7, 2022
Due to several days of heavy rain, the Mearin River in Trizidela, Brazil overflowed. Many homes were damaged and impacted families have moved to temporary shelters, churches, or social housing. The Child Development Center (CDC) staff are visiting affected families to offer support them spiritually and physically. The CDCs are providing basic supplies, food kits, and hygiene kits. Also, local government agencies are assisting families. The Compassion Brazil National Office and the local Child Development (CDC) center are assessing the situation and will report participant impact details as soon as possible.
