Hurricane Julia in Guatemala

A total of 62 participants and their families were impacted by Hurricane Julia in Guatemala. All of the participants have received assistance from the Compassion Guatemala National Office and the Child Development Center. The participants who were temporarily displaced have returned to their homes and have resumed normal activities.

Hurricane Julia arrived in Guatemala early Monday, October 10. Some roads have been destroyed due the rain and towns have lost communications. The Compassion Guatemala National Office activated their emergency plan and is ready to provide assistance to Child Development Centers (CDCs) for impacted participants and their families. To date, CDCs report that 56 participants have been affected.
