Disaster Alert: Heavy Rainy Season in Colombia - July 8, 2022
Heavy rains have caused the rivers to rise and overflow in many areas of Colombia. Neighborhoods have been flooded and homes have been damaged or destroyed. To date, it has been reported that 150 participants and their families have been affected. The local Child Development Centers (CDCs) are providing basic relief items to impacted families. The Compassion Colombia National Office will continue to monitor the situation and report updates as they become available.
Please pray for affected participants and their families as they begin the recovery process.
Disaster Final Report: Heavy Rainy Season in Colombia - August 5, 2022
A total of 152 participants and their families were impacted by the heavy rainy season in Colombia, which as now ended. The Compassion Colombia National Office provided hygiene kits, blankets, mattresses, and some items to repair the homes of the affected families.

Disaster Update #1: Heavy rains along Colombian Coast - July 27, 2022
The rainy season has affected many families. Several houses have been damaged as well as roads, educational institutions and pedestrian bridges. The season is expected to end in July. The Child Development Centers (CDCs) report that no additional participants have been affected at this time, and the number remains at 122 affected participants. Compassion Disaster Relief funds are being sent for food, mattresses, blankets and household items.

A total of 129 participants and their families were affected by the heavy rains. The Compassion Colombia Office Disaster Response team has ensured all families have been provided for during this time.
