Disaster Final Report: Heavy Rains and Flooding in El Salvador - July 7, 2022
Child Development Center (CDC) staff visited all affected participants and their families. Families are safe and have returned to normal daily activities. CDCs provided assistance in repairing damaged homes. In total, 40 participants and their families were affected.

Disaster Alert: Heavy Rains and Flooding in El Salvador - July 6, 2022
On July 2, 2022, heavy rains caused flooding in El Salvador. This created landslides, flooding at coast lines, and the need for families to temporarily relocate for safety. In addition, houses have been damaged and schools have been suspended. To date, it has been reported that 40 participants and their families have been affected. The local Child Development Centers (CDCs) are providing basic relief items to impacted families. The Compassion El Salvador National Office will continue to assess the situation and report updates as they become available.
