Disaster Alert: Heavy rains along Colombian Coast

Beginning the end of May, seasonal heavy rain began along the coastal region of Colombia. The heavy rain has damaged several houses as well as roads, educational institutions and pedestrian bridges. The rainy season is expected to end in July. The Child Development Centers in the area report that so far, 122 participants have been affected. The Compassion Colombia Office Disaster Response team has been activated, and funds are being sent for food, mattresses, blankets and household items.
