As of February 2023, the rains have diminished in most of the country. In total, 211 participants were affected by the extreme weather. Thankfully, all of the impacted participants and their families are healthy. The Child Development Center (CDC) has been able to provide the affected participants and their families with emergency relief items such as food, clothing, mattresses, sheets and other household items.
Thank you for praying for all of the participants, families and staff members affected by the heavy rains.

During the last month, heavy rains accompanied by strong winds have caused floods, overflowing rivers, gales, hailstorms, flash floods and landslides throughout Colombia. This has affected crops, transportation routes, and the homes of hundreds of families. To date, 211 participants and their families have been impacted by these disasters and have lost household goods and sustained damage to their homes.
The Compassion Colombia National Office and the Child Development Centers (CDCs) are supporting the participants and their families with basic needs such as water and items to repair their homes.
