Disaster Alert and Final Report: August 23, 2022
In late April, heavy rains caused flooding that affected the residents in the town of Imelda in the Zamboanga Sibugay Province in the Philippines. Flooding is common in this area. A total of 14 participants and their families have been affected by the flooding; three have experienced damage to their homes, five have lost their livelihood, and 12 participants lost school supplies. All of the affected children and their families are safe and accounted for. The Child Development Center (CDC) has provided food, kitchen utensils, clothing donated by church members, and counseling to the affected families.
Please pray for the children and their families as they recover from the flooding.
