The Compassion Dominican Republic National Office was able to provide funds to assist a total of 42 affected participants and their families with food, mattresses, clothing, and minor repairs to their homes. These families will continue to receive assistance for household items such as stoves, refrigerators, and other items lost due to the flooding, and the church will continue to follow up with them to ensure they are supported well.
Thank you for praying for those impacted by the flooding in Santo Domingo.

The Child Development Center (CDC) staff has been visiting the families in the community to assess the need. To date, 42 participants and their families as well as three CDCs have been impacted by the flooding in Santo Domingo. The Compassion Dominican Republic National Office has provided funds to assist the affected families with immediate needs, and the staff will continue to assess the damages and provide for further needs as they recover and rebuild.

On November 4th, 2022, a tropical wave and heavy rains caused severe flooding throughout the city of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Almost all of the city streets have been flooded, and some of our participants' homes sustained damage. So far, six participants and their families as well as one Child Development Center (CDC) has been impacted by the flooding. The Compassion Dominican Republic National Office has provided funds to assist the affected families and will continue to monitor the situation for additional needs.
Please pray for these families as they repair the damages and return to normal activities.
