The flood waters are receding and the affected Child Development Centers (CDCs) have started up their programming again. To date, 119 participants and their families and 3 CDCs were affected by the flooding. Thankfully, no injuries or illness have been reported as a result of the flooding. The local CDCs provided basic support to affected participants such as food, household items, and house rental fees. The Compassion Ethiopia National Office will develop a proposal for house renovation and reconstruction for the affected participants. The flood damaged one of the CDC buildings so its renovation will also be included in the proposal.
Please pray for the participants and their families as they recover from damages and losses.
