The participants and their families are gradually returning to their daily activities, which include repair work on properties that have structural issues and land deterioration due to the floods. Several streets are still flooded with retained water and the increase in insects persists.

As storms continue in Colombia, the support of the community has been fundamental. Stagnant floodwater has caused an increase in mosquitos and toads in the area. Water pumps were placed in the most affected neighborhoods to evacuate stagnant water, and mosquito nets and boards have been provided to place in the home entryways. The loss of crops and livestock has caused the loss of jobs and limited access to some foods. They are also experiencing power outages and limited internet access. The Child Development Center is educating the participants and their families on the use of mosquito nets, waste collection, garbage management and the importance of drinking water. They are also providing food and household goods, as needed, to the impacted families.
Please continue to pray for the participants and their families as they endure the remainder of the season.
