Compassion Sunday is a day set apart to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name. It’s an opportunity for you to share your purpose and passion — and invite others to join a movement of life transformation.

The one-child-to-one-sponsor relationship is a beautiful example of God’s economy. Children with no material wealth become known, loved and protected through a Compassion child development center under the leadership of an indigenous, gospel-centered church. Sponsors with material wealth to share become fulfilled with a sense of purpose by advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves (Proverbs 31:8-9). There is life transformation for both child and sponsor.

Here are three free resources to help you invite others to fulfill their purpose on Compassion Sunday. These Compassion sponsored experiences are limited, so a member of Compassion’s Church Engagement Team will collaborate with you to determine which will work best in your unique ministry setting.

Compassion Alumni Speakers

Alumni from Compassion’s child development program have firsthand experience of being released from poverty in Jesus’ name, and they are available to share their true story at your church. Hailing from the continents of Asia, Africa and South/Central America, each Alumni is an inspiring testimony of God’s faithfulness.

Who is the Compassion Church Engagement Team

We are a team of 45 men and women with backgrounds as pastors, educators, writers, business owners, church planters and professionals. We may be diverse by personal history but we are united in our love for Jesus, children and the Church. We serve U.S. churches of all sizes, and we value each one uniquely as the Bride of Christ. Our goal is to complement a church’s vision and mission as they equip saints for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12-16).

We’d like to learn more about your church and see how we can complement the Kingdom work you are doing. Contact us today to start a conversation. 866-607-5162 or at [email protected].
