Teen Business

Teen business entrepreneurs are essential to passing along strong business skills to a new generation. When Compassion opens a center in a developing country, we seek to teach students good leadership skills. Breaking the cycle of poverty requires holistic development - spiritual, physical, social and economic.

Holistic child development means we begin, in some cases, with prenatal care and go all the way through leadership development for qualified young adults. It means we take a long-term approach to what we do and go beyond simple involvement in the lives of the children and families we serve. In turn, these teens can become active in helping others in their communities learn valuable skills. Teen business entrepreneurs are shooting up around the world and we’re thrilled to be a part of it.

Teen Business - Enock Elie is Wise Beyond His Years

Enock Elie found himself living in a chaotic, unsafe, and unhealthy community. They didn't have water and his family was struggling to survive. Then Enock registered in the Compassion Sponsorship program at a local church. He was given access to healthcare, clean water, food, and leadership training. It wasn't long before his life situation changed. We applaud this teen business for its innovation:

We love teen business, especially when it meets a need. In this case, it was an act of survival. He has helped his family survive and has also supported his community, making it a better place to live.

We say, "Way to go, Enock!"
