What Is Child Sponsorship?
Child sponsorship means encouraging a child and donating to them monthly. This consistent support empowers a local church to care for a child’s immediate needs, introduce them to the gospel and prepare them for a brighter future beyond poverty.

“Compassion serves 2.4 million children in 29 countries (and counting), working to release them from poverty in Jesus’ name.”
What Does Child Sponsorship Provide?
Child sponsorship introduces children to Jesus, showing them the truth of the good news in action through critical care. Child sponsorship equips a child with education, medical care, safe community, protection from abuse, nutrition support, disaster relief and a voice of their own.
As a child sponsor, you’ll be a powerful encourager, praying for and writing letters to your sponsored child — life-changing reminders of God’s love and hope. Your monthly donation enables local pastors, tutors and volunteers to care for and protect a vulnerable child in their community.
$43/month will provide your sponsored child with
An introduction to the gospel
Regular medical checkups and necessary care
Malnutrition monitoring and intervention
Education assistance and skills training
Protection from abuse and exploitation
Disaster relief when crises strike

How Does Child Sponsorship Work?
Child sponsorship works by meeting a child’s spiritual and practical needs consistently as they grow. With their needs met, they’re equipped to leave poverty behind.
What does this look like in action?
The good news of the gospel helps children see their value and look beyond their circumstances, freeing them from hopelessness.
Medical care and malnutrition monitoring help children play, grow and develop as God intended.
Education support inspires children to pursue their dreams and learn to provide for themselves.
Steady encouragement from pastors, volunteers, staff and child sponsors ensures children feel known, loved and protected.
Through consistent care, children can become self-sufficient adults who raise their own families in freedom. And they can become leaders in their communities, helping others leave poverty behind too.
