The Problem

Jesus passionately called the Global Church to go out and spread his love into all the nations (Matthew 28:19–20), and minister to children (Matthew 19:14). Compassion-partnered churches are doing this work in some of the most vulnerable communities in the world, and every day, they see the incredible difference that can be made.

Yet our church partners are also faced with the suffering endured by children not benefiting from Compassion’s holistic child development program. For every child that walks through a church’s doors, there are more waiting outside, hoping to be invited in.

There is an immense, unmet need, and our church partners are ready to grow and reach more children, helping them begin their journey out of poverty. But we can only do this with your help.

Every gift you give through Compassion is handled with integrity and care. We follow strict financial guardrails to ensure accountability, transparency and the flexibility to invest wisely for long-term impact.

We invest every dollar in one of three ways

Implementing our program today
Inviting the next child (and their supporter) into the program
Sustaining and enhancing our ability to deliver excellent programs

These investments are typically referred to as “Program,” “Fundraising” and “Administrative” expenses, respectively. Compassion’s rigorous annual strategic planning and budgeting process determines the resources allocated to Program, Fundraising and Administration. Our policy is to ensure that 75 to 82 cents on the dollar will always be allocated to Program expenses.
