From Darkness to Hope: Ricardo’s Story
In Ricardo lives two realities. First, there is the normal teen in Bolivia who has a part-time job at a barbershop and plays soccer with his little brother. But behind that mask of normalcy lives the trauma of a brush with death. He has heard the cries of his mother outside his hospital room, and he has felt the weight of loneliness and pain.
Ricardo has lived through the darkness of a near-fatal illness. And on the other side, he has found hope and light.
During his ordeal, Ricardo and his family had the unwavering support of their local church, where Ricardo is part of Compassion’s program.
