Donate Grain

Compassion accepts gifts of grain as a donation. The funds received from the sale of grain can be designated anywhere within Compassion.

How to Donate Grain to Compassion

Follow these four steps to donate your grain proceeds to Compassion.

1. Transport Grain

Take the grain to your grain elevator.

2. Contact Compassion

Call 1-888-988-4408 or or email [email protected] to provide donation information such as the number of bushels of grain, where to allocate the funds, and the name and phone number of the grain elevator.

3. Receive Confirmation

Compassion will call the grain elevator to sell the grain.

4. Receive Tax Receipt

Once Compassion receives the donation, you will receive an acknowledgement letter. A formal tax receipt will be issued the following January after the donation is received.

Your Donation Makes a Difference in the Life of a Child

Children in Compassion’s child sponsorship program complete secondary school at a rate far higher than their peers who aren’t in the program, giving them the education and life skills they need to break the cycle of poverty.

Your Contributions Are Stewarded Wisely

Every gift you give through Compassion is handled with integrity and care. We follow strict financial guardrails to ensure accountability, transparency and the flexibility to invest wisely for long-term impact. Here’s a brief explanation of how funds are allocated:

In fiscal year 2025, 80% of every dollar went straight to program work through our local church partners — including education, medical care, nutrition, child protection and sharing God’s love with children living in poverty and their families.
