“My favorite thing to play is soccer,” says Bayisa, shown here demonstrating a kick to other children at his Compassion center. The children have missed such group activities this past year, since COVID-19 forced the center’s temporary closure. Bayisa looks forward to returning to the center soon, not only to play soccer but also to hear Bible stories. “I love the story of Elijah,” he says. “I love the way he obeyed and feared God.”
