Disaster Alert: July 16, 2019

In mid-July, as a result of a recent tropical depression weakening to a tropical storm, there have been heavy rains and continuous flooding. This is affecting the provinces of Visayas and Mindanao, including Negros Occidental. The communities are located in low lying areas and prone to flooding. Many residents have evacuated to stay in elevated areas. Currently, no beneficiary and Child Development Center (CDC) impact information is available yet. However we do know, the CDC will provide relief packs to 350 affected families while they are staying in evacuation centers. The relief packs include rice, noodles, and canned goods.

Please pray for the safety of our beneficiaries in this area.
