We’re here with answers.
Here are some frequently asked questions about Compassion Sunday and Compassion International.
We’re here for you. We have resources that you can give to your pastor. You can also direct him to our special For Pastors and Leaders page.
While we encourage you to host in your home church, sometimes that’s not a possibility. Compassion Sunday can work well in other settings like Bible studies, small group meetings, Sunday school classes, school classrooms, book clubs or any other group.
No problem. You can choose a date that’s right for you and your church. Talk to your pastor about what weekend would work best for your church and then register your event.
As many as you can! Of course, it depends on the size of your church, but we’ve found that on average 5 children get sponsored at an event. The main thing to remember is to leave all the results up to God. We need to do our best, but be willing to allow Him to work.
The Event Kit has everything you need to run a successful Compassion Sunday at your church. It includes posters, a tabletop display, information sheets, sign-up forms and an instruction guide with a helpful event checklist. It will also include one of our new T-shirts.
Place the acceptance forms and payments in the prepaid FedEx envelope supplied with the Event Kit. Fill out the address label and contact fedex.com for a pickup, or drop the package off at the nearest FedEx location as soon as you can after the event.
Choose a child that shares a birthday with you or a loved one. Choose a child that’s the same age as your child. Or choose a child from a country you’ve visited or would like to visit.
